WHY BAKE ON STEEL?

Steel absorbs, stores and transmits energy much more efficiently than stone. This means you can make wonderfully, crispy pizza bases at much lower temperatures.
Your bread will enjoy an unrivalled “oven spring” as the dough does not cool the steel as it would a baking stone.
Furthermore, as many breads benefit from steam in the oven, steel is ideal as it will not crack like stones when steam/water is added to the oven.
Indestructible and easy to look after, my steels are made from steel sourced in the UK and Europe – 6mm thick and super versatile, use them in your oven, AGA, BBQ and on the hob.
What’s more, there is no coating or treatment on the surface of the steels giving total peace of mind that no nasties can burn off in the oven – my steels are made from pure mild steel and nothing else.
I have round, rectangular and square steels. Steels that fit Ooni and Kamado Joe and they are very portable, so take them on all of your camping trips.
